Applying Your New Sticker

Preparation is key!

The surface must be free from all contaminants such as dirt and dust. Clean the area with glass cleaner or an isopropyl alcohol cleaning wipe then completely dry with a paper towel, glass cloth or microfibre. Prepare the sticker by firmly rubbing a sqeegee over the sticker. If you do not have a squeegee to hand, using a cloth will suffice.

Application

  • Flip the sticker over and remove the paper backing, peeling the paper slowly away from the clear transfer tape and the sticker.

  • Then, you will have the clear tape with your vinyl sticker. Position the sticker in your desired area, then ensure it is fully stuck to the window.

  • Carefully, peel the transfer tape from the sticker at an angle slowly. Ocasionally you may find that when peeling the transfer tape off some of the vinyl may stick to the backing sheet. If this happens apply pressure with a cloth or squeegee and retry application again.

Weather

Avoid applying vinyl stickers in extreme weather conditions of hot or cold. Vinyl will become stretchy when too hot or brittle when too cold. Weather can also affect the removal of the vinyl from the transfer tape.

Tips

  • You can use a heatgun or hairdryer on a low setting to help adhere to glass

  • Squeegee's are helpful with application

Aftercare

Vinyl stickers can take 48-72 hours to fully adhere, it is recommended to avoid washing your car during this time.
